Derivative Segment Trading

Derivative trading can be done in four different ways - Future, Forward, Options and Swaps. In derivative you actually buy a contract that expires within a stipulated time frame. Usually all the derivative contracts in a specific stock market expires on a particular day of every month.

You have to close the deal either by selling or buying the stocks within that stipulated time. In derivative trading the stocks are bought and sold in lot.

The number of stocks in a lot varies from one stock to the other and the price of the lot is derived by multiplying the number of the stock with the current price of that stock in that market.

The biggest advantage of derivative trading is that you can get the lot by investing only the 30 to 40% of the actual price of the stocks that you will be holding. [Via]

How To Do Margin Trading: Complete Guide

In margin trading that is also commonly known as day trading you have to close the deal by the stipulated time that is generally within the very day of the trading.

The biggest advantage of margin trading is that you need not invest the full value of the stocks that you trade in.

Though the amount for buying the stocks is determined on the volatility of the stocks, in most cases you need to invest or have 5% to 10% of the total value of the stocks.

So while doing margin trading you can hold more stocks with the fund than you could have otherwise bought them at the equity segment in delivery based trading. Another advantage of margin trading is that you can short selling of the stocks.

That means you can gain by selling the stocks at higher price and then buying them on the same day at a lower rate. The brokerage of the margin trading is also lower than delivery based trading. [Via]

Trading Article: How To Trade Equity

This is the most common form of trading stocks. In equity segment you buy the stocks of the companies through your broker.

Once the request fro buying the stocks is settled and payment is made the stocks are deposited to the DP account of the investor.

Then stocks can be hold or subsequently sold by the investor. The advantage of the equity trading is that there is no time frame for selling the stocks or closing the deal. You can always hold the stocks till you want and then sell it when you think is the right time.

But the brokerage charge for equity segment is greater than the derivative segment or margin trading. If you are looking for good returns and do not want to take more risk and if you are ready to hold the stocks for longer period of time, this is the best way for you to invest in the stock market. How to trade forex ?

Hi friends, this is Saurabh from Ludhiana, "Provides SMS tips and calls to our Partner traders" is now writing about Forex and how to trade Forex.

For most people Forex trading is something that is meant for the corporates & banks and is very complicated thing to do.

But, this is not right! After doing enough research, I realized that it is the one of the easiest make money online instrument to get started and make money instantly. Of course with its associated risks.

In order to trade Forex you need to open an account with one of those online Forex trading agencies. There are plenty of them to choose from and I found that Trading-point.Com is a good platform and offers to start with a small amount like 5USD.

Once you sign up, all that you have to do is to add money to your Forex trading account and start trading. Money transfer to the account can be via Neteller, Credit card, Bank – wire transfer and many other online money transfer options.

Of course, after signing up one still has the option of continuing with the practice account without adding any real money to your account. It is a matter of couple of minutes before you start trading but wait till you do your homework.

All your money can disappear in no time if you are not careful. This is why practice trading accounts are useful. Most trading platforms allow a practice account whereby you can trade using virtual money but use real time features such as price quotes, charts etc.

Well, this is it for now. Stay connected and enjoy "Free Trading Tips and Calls". Simply call us and register your mobile number to get started.

How to Invest in Share Market

Dealing stocks involves placing cash at risk and can result in loss of your complete investment. It is also likely in the case of leveraged investments to lose more capital than you put at risk.

Your basic investments must be made from a money deposit you have made with a stockbroker. Your stockbroker holds your money in your account, and completes to purchase and sell orders on your name.

You need to open a demant account with a broker in order to trade in the share market. Before you go running about seeking for a company to deal with, think over the volume of the investments you hope to make.

As a fresh investor, it is smart to make your initial dealings as small as possible. The cause you begin small is so you can start to comprehend the mechanics of how purchasing and selling shares works without putting your entire investment share at danger.

Deal in corporations or businesses that you know something about. If you have knowledge on finance and know economic trends – then you should be invest and buying (or selling) finance companies stocks, based on what you know.

If you follow technology, then you require to be taking serious looks at those particular tech firms you understand. The best tip that an expert can provide as to how to invest in the share market for beginners is to start small, learn the fundamentals, and trade what you understand. [ Via ]

Beginners Guide to Trade Commodities

Where do I need to go to trade in commodity futures?

You have three options - the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, the Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd and the National Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd. All three have electronic trading and settlement systems and a national presence.

Do I have to give delivery or settle in cash?
You can do both. All the exchanges have both systems - cash and delivery mechanisms. The choice is yours. If you want your contract to be cash settled, you have to indicate at the time of placing the order that you don't intend to deliver the item.

If you plan to take or make delivery, you need to have the required warehouse receipts. The option to settle in cash or through delivery can be changed as many times as one wants till the last day of the expiry of the contract.

Where do I look for information on commodities?
Daily financial newspapers carry spot prices and relevant news and articles on most commodities. Besides, there are specialised magazines on agricultural commodities and metals available for subscription. Brokers also provide research and analysis support.

But the information easiest to access is from websites. Though many websites are subscription-based, a few also offer information for free. You can surf the web and narrow down you search.

In which commodities can I trade?
Though the government has essentially made almost all commodities eligible for futures trading, the nationwide exchanges have earmarked only a select few for starters. While the NMCE has most major agricultural commodities and metals under its fold, the NCDEX, has a large number of agriculture, metal and energy commodities. MCX also offers many commodities for futures trading.

How to make profit in Forex Trading

Being profitable in Forex requires a lot of work, dedication, practice, more than a good discipline, sharp knowledge of money management and understanding of the psychology of the currency market.

To profit in Forex sticking to a set of rules is not enough. Good money management is also needed.

Knowledge of how much to trade per each open position and where and when to stop; is what separates successful trader from bankrupt trader.

Many beginner traders over-leverage themselves being attracted by big and promising leverages offered by Forex brokers. The truth is that a big leverage is not only about a big win, but also when it comes to be so – a big loss.

Opening a new trading position must be first of all about how much money may be lost and then what would be the profits. Good money management implies that trader is expecting to win at least twice as much as he could lose on each trade.  [Via]

The price of gold is determined twice a day in London known as "London Fixes" which is the guidepost for the official gold trading around the world.

The price of gold varies depending on various factors which are listed below:

Australian Housing Market Seen Prone To Further Moderation Says RBA

The Reserve Bank has stated that housing prices may fall further and believes it is risky to assume they wont. It is a very dangerous idea to think that dwelling prices cannot fall, said RBA governor Glenn Stevens said in a speech today. They can, and they have.

The governor noted that (RBA) should never say a crash couldnt happen here, and the bank continues to monitor property markets and the performance of mortgages quite closely.

Home prices in Australia have fallen 5 to 10 per cent from their peak, compared with 15-20 per cent in the UK and 30 per cent in the US, according to the RBA. But even as Mr Stevens conceded further falls are possible, he said there is little evidence that a plunge in Australian house prices, like that seen in the US, UK or Spain, is inevitable.

While discouraging explanations of future home price movements that relied on domestic factors solely, Stevens linked the increase in home prices to the global debt boom which was seen through the US, UK, and Europe since in the mid-1990s. [ News Via ]

Futures Trading for Beginners

Futures trading is different from investing in the stock market or bonds since you don’t actually own anything. In futures trading, you are speculating on the future direction of the price in the commodity you are trading.

This is different for beginners in futures trading; it is like a bet on the future price direction. The terms "buy" and "sell" merely indicate the direction you expect future prices will take. He or she must only deposit sufficient capital with a brokerage firm to insure that he will be able to pay the losses if his trades lose money.

Futures trading is a sort of insurance plan for those who are trading and investing. A farmer may sell futures on his wheat crop if he thinks the price will go down before the harvest; conversely, a bread manufacturer may buy futures if they think the price of wheat is going to rise before the harvest.

Trading futures has the potential to be an incredible profit maker. It is said that Richard Dennis, a famed commodities trader, was able to parlay $1,600 of borrowed money into $200 million over ten years.

You may only be a beginner trading futures, but you are savvy enough to recognize the potential in futures trading.

The beginner in futures trading needs to understand that futures are not trading on the stock market. Some of the locations are well known like the Chicago Board of Trade, the New York Mercantile, the New York Cotton Exchange and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Some of the better known futures markets are:
  • Agriculture – This is a broad, commonly traded futures which includes such things as wheat, soybean and corn futures.

  • Currency Trading – Currency trading, also known as FOREX (foreign exchange) trading, involves buying and selling currency from many different countries such as the US dollar, the British pound and the Japanese yen.

  • Interest Rate Futures – This market focuses on financial transactions, interest rates and bonds.

  • Energy Futures – This market centers its attention on gas and oil futures.

  • Foods – This sector includes items such as coffee, sugar and orange juice.

  • Metals – This is one of the more popular and better known sectors. The typical commodities in metals are gold and silver. [ Via ]
