Oilseeds Likely To Open Higher On Firm Global Cues

Oilseeds eased from the high during the afternoon session on profit taking. The NCDEX RSO August delivery ended the last day down by 0.18% at Rs 794.05 after moving in the range of Rs 800-792.10 per 10 kg. The e-cbot August Soya Oil is trading at 54.02 cents per pound.

NYMEX Crude Oil most active September contract is trading at $90.57, up 0.40 per barrel. The BMD CPO most active October contract is trading at MYR 3001, up MYR 8 per tonne. The counter moved in the range of MYR 3025- 2986 per tonne.

US August Soybeans finished up 44 1/2 at 1683 � cents per bushel, 2 off the high and 57 1/2 up from the low. November Soybeans closed up 29 1/2 at 1620 cents per bushel. This was 44 up from the low and 2 off the high. August Soy meal closed up 20 at 514.0 cents per short tone.

This was 22.4 up from the low and equal to the high. August Soybean Oil finished down 0.13 at 54.01 cents per pound, 0.33 off the high and 0.71 up from the low. The weather outlook for most of the Midwest looks detrimental to US soybean yields the next two weeks.

The southeast and delta could see showers this week and restricted rainfall may fall in parts of Northern Illinois and Indiana by this weekend. Rainfall amounts are expected to be light but will benefit soybean crops. Temperatures are expected to reach 95-105 degrees in Kansas, Missouri, South Dakota, Iowa, and Nebraska this week; increasing stress on row crops.  [ News Via ]
