Worm Infested Food In KFC

Against the backdrop of worm-infested  food found from the KFC outlet in Thiruvananthapuram, the Food Safety Officers also collected samples from the KFC outlet at MG Road here. The officials further examined the hygiene conditions at the outlet’s kitchen and pantry.


The lack of hygiene that led to the closure of a KFC outlet at Thiruvananthapuram took a majority of KFC lovers by surprise, while the other regulars said that the incident is against KFC’s  operating standards and is totally unacceptable.

The situation here is normal and the business has not been affected by the incident that occurred at the Thiruvananthapuram outlet.


An official at the KFC outlet said "There is no  possibility of finding a worm as the food is heated at about 360 degrees. The result of the sample test will unveil the truth".

While, Meera Nair, a computer programmer from Kochi,  said that she came to KFC in spite of hearing  the news about the food quality at the  Thiruvananthapuram outlet.  “For the last five years, I have been a frequent visitor to KFC outlet. I have never had a bad experience of being served stale or wormed-infested food here,” she said. Via
